Audrey Sung

Biography

Hoi Ching (Audrey) Sung is a composer and violinist, currently finishing her BMus degree in University of Toronto. She majors in Music Composition, studying with James Lowrie and will be studying with James Rolfe in the coming school year. Her music has been performed in Student Composer Concerts in Walter Hall, “Verses and Voices” organized by Written by Women, and Side by Side in Heliconian Hall, organized by Confluence Concerts. Audrey also studied violin under Annalee Patipatanakoon. As a violinist, Audrey has played with the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Cathedral Bluff Symphony Orchestra and Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra. Furthermore, she is actively performing as a violinist in new music scenes, such as the University of Toronto Student Composer Opera project and student composer concerts. She is also the co-director and co-founder of Interactive New Music Concerts. In 2026, Audrey was awarded the Robert and Jean Elliott McBroom Scholarship.
