Jeremie Boudreau

Biography

Jeremie Boudreau is a Korean-Nova Scotian improviser, composer-performer, and producer based in Toronto. A classically trained violinist turned classically trained guitarist, his work's main interest is to bridge disciplines and relevant stories with sound exploration and audio. His performance work has seen him as a soloist with orchestra, with hardcore bands, hip hop groups, jazz bands, and creative music projects. Equally a incisive young composer, his work has gone on to achieve such achievements as the Judith A. Grant Special Award, the Owen Matizen Prize in Composition, and twice the Ernest and Dorothy Heighton Prize in jazz and improvisation. Recent premieres include with Symphony Nova Scotia, the Upstream Orchestra, the Halifax Jazz Festival, and at the Korea International School of Arts. He is currently completing his Masters in Music Technology and Digital Media at the University of Toronto.
